Dear Heloise: When I was car hunting, I Iooked through the newspaper and there were quite a few ads I wanted to check out. Rather than writing the phone numbers or cutting out the ads, I used transparent tape to transfer the information.

All I did was press the tape firmly on top of the ad and pull it off. The ad transferred perfectly clearly on the tape.

When I had all the ads I wanted, I stuck them to a couple of index cards. - Frank Romito, Dallas

Dear Heloise: I purchase applesauce and similar products in six-packs of the individual-serving size.

I recycle the containers, filling them with mustard, mayonnaise or the like, centering each on individual hors d’oeuvre trays. They’re useful and look appetizing, too. - Kate Campbell, Marlton, N.J.
