Armed Robber Takes Cash, Drugs From Store
An armed robber took cash and drugs from the Payless Drug Store pharmacy Monday morning.
The man walked into the store on Ironwood Drive about 9:15 a.m. He then went to the pharmacy counter and displayed a handgun to an employee, according to a Coeur d’Alene police report.
The man demanded money and narcotic-type drugs, said Capt. Carl Bergh. After receiving unnamed drugs and a “small amount” of cash, the man left the store without harming anyone, Bergh said.
The robber is described as a white man between the ages of 30 and 35, about 6 feet tall and 180 to 200 pounds. He had sandy blond hair and was wearing sunglasses, a dark colored baseball hat and a purple and black jacket.
The robber also had cold sores on his lips, acne pock marks on his left cheek and scabs on his right cheek.
A man fitting his description was seen in a mid-1980s, four-door sedan, faded blue in color with Montana plates, according to a police report.
