Starbucks Coffee Plans Trent And Argonne Store

Attention commuters: the icon of Northwest coffee country is Valley-bound.

Starbucks Coffee has signed on to open its sixth Spokane store at a new shopping center planned for the northwest corner of Trent and Argonne roads.

Marshall Clark, president of Clark Commercial Real Estate Company, said he has lease proposals for 90 percent of the stores, but he declined to name any other tenants.

The $2.5 million project, for which Vandervert Construction is the contractor, will add approximately 41,700 square feet of retail space to the shopping center which already includes an Albertson’s grocery store.

The center will include four free-standing pads and a small strip center, Clark said. Three of the pads will face Trent and one will face Argonne. The strip center will be set back, closer to Albertson’s, said Clark.

Work is expected to begin in May and be completed in time for an August opening, said Clark.
