Fuhrman Draws Crowd In Sandpoint Former L.A. Police Detective Sells, Signs Books At Mall
Hundreds of people lined up at a shopping mall Saturday as Mark Fuhrman, a key figure in the O.J. Simpson murder trial, signed copies of his new book.
Fuhrman moved to the Sandpoint area after leaving the Los Angeles Police Department.
Organizers said they sold about 1,000 copies of the book “Murder in Brentwood” on Saturday.
“This is what America’s all about,” Fuhrman said during the signing. “It’s not politicians and attorneys and celebrity athletes who murder people.
“These are the people who make the world go around and we ignore them,” Fuhrman said of his neighbors.
“I think he’s just super,” said one woman in the line. “He could be my neighbor anytime.”
Fuhrman was branded a racist during Simpson’s criminal trial, and his book has attacked his critics.
He said he is thinking of writing another book. He did not reveal the subject.
A civil court jury found Simpson liable for the June 1994 killings of his ex-wife and her friend. Simpson was acquitted in criminal court in October 1995.
