Wrestling Coach Resigns
Crook County High School wrestling coach Pete Lucas has resigned after one of his athletes weighed in for a teammate last month at the Intermountain Conference tournament, principal Dick Darst said.
In reporting the violation, school officials said Lucas learned about the infraction after the conference meet but allowed R.J. Miller, the wrestler who failed to make weight, to compete in the state tournament.
The violation would be the fourth in two years for Crook County, which was already on probation for infractions in girls basketball and in baseball.
