Clara Morasch Kent, Wash.
Service for Clara E. Morasch, a former Endicott, Wash., resident, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Endicott. Burial will follow at Endicott Cemetery. Bruning Funeral Home in Colfax, Wash., is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Morasch, who died Friday, was 84.
She was born in Endicott, and in 1933, married George Morasch in Walla Walla. Her husband died in 1982.
Mrs. Morasch was a homemaker, and moved to Kent five years ago.
Survivors include two sons, Larry Morasch of Chehalis, Wash., and Dennis Morasch of Kent, Wash.; a daughter, Donna Rae Herman of Redmond, Wash.; three brothers, Carl Poffenroth of Lewiston, Elmer Poffenroth of Palo Alto, Calif., and Harold Poffenroth of Spokane; three sisters, Caroline Smith of Seattle, Doris Looney of Odessa, Wash., and Mary Poffenroth of Spokane; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Vito Devenere Spokane
Vigil service for Vito L. Devenere, 74, is planned for 7 p.m. today at Hennessey Valley Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be at 9 a.m. Friday at St. Paschal Catholic Church. Burial will be at Pines Cemetery.
Mr. Devenere, a lifetime Spokane resident, died Tuesday.
He graduated from Lewis and Clark High School and served in the Army during World War II and the Korean War.
Mr. Devenere worked for IBM and was a general manager in the insurance business.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Marion; two sons, Leonard Devenere of Bellevue, Wash., and Christopher Devenere of Spokane; a daughter, Marianne Sutton of Spokane; a brother, Michael Devenere of Spokane; two sisters, Rosa Schmitz and Ann Luce of Seattle; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Dorothy Buel Spokane
Visitation for Dorothy G. Buel, 91, is scheduled from noon to 8 p.m. today at Thornhill Valley Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Thornhill Valley Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Fairmount Memorial Park.
Mrs. Buel, who died Monday. was born in Lake City, Iowa, and had lived in Spokane for 48 years.
She was a homemaker and had briefly worked at Deaconess Hospital, and for the Colfax (Wash.) Clinic as a nurses aide.
Two husbands, Burt Roberts and Charles Buel, preceded her in death.
Survivors include a son, Clyde Roberts of Spokane; a stepson, David Buel of Richland; a daughter, Dolores Beals of Spokane; a sister, Faye McCutchen of Minnesota; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Donald Burnett Spokane
Memorial service for Donald R. Burnett, 88, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Lincoln Heights Congregational Church. Private graveside service will precede at Spokane Memorial Gardens. Riplinger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Burnett, who was born in Portland, died Saturday.
He had lived in Spokane since 1936 and worked as a carpenter for 50 years. During his retirement, he spent winters in California.
He was a member of the Moose Lodge and Corbin Senior Center.
Mr. Burnett is survived by his wife of 68 years, Dorothy Burnett; a daughter, Barbara Skaer of Spokane; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Eunice Call Spokane
Service for Eunice Elizabeth Call, 71, will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Spokane South Stake Center. Burial will be at Greenwood Memorial Terrace. Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-South is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Call, who was born in Cornwall, Ontario, died Monday.
She married Vaughn Call in 1942 and they came to the United States, settling in Spokane in 1951.
Mrs. Call was a homemaker and a foster parent.
Her husband died last January.
She is survived by six sons, Vaughn, Kevin and David Call, all of Springville, Utah, Joseph Call of Bountiful, Utah, Randolph Call of Spokane, and Mark Call of Federal Way, Wash.; four daughters, Diane Collins and Sylvia Kunz, both of Spokane, Laura Perdue of Redmond, Ore., and Deborah Call of Federal Way; a sister, Grace Dunlop, and two brothers, Stan and Al McDonald, all of Canada; 44 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Marilyn ‘Ruth’ Harper Loon Lake, Wash.
Memorial service for Marilyn Ruth Harper, 65, will be at 4 p.m. today at Deer Park First Baptist Church. Lauer Funeral Home in Deer Park is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Harper, a former Spokane resident, died Sunday.
She was born in Knoxville, Tenn., and moved to Spokane in 1976.
Her husband, Clyde Harper, died in 1990.
She is survived by three sons, James Hobby of Chattanooga, Tenn., David Barger of Loveland, Colo., and Gary Covington of Loon Lake; a stepson, Don Harper of Deer Park; a stepdaughter, Cathy Nagel of Fort Collins, Colo.; two sisters, Barbara Bell and Ruby Epperson, both of Knoxville; five brothers, Ronny, Roy and Jimmy Epperson, all of Knoxville, Joe Epperson of Martinsburg, W.Va., and Jack Epperson of Spokane; several grandchildren, stepgrandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Della Eblen Spokane
Funeral Mass for Della Eblen is planned for 10 a.m. Friday at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Lourdes. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Eblen, a 56-year Spokane resident, died Tuesday.
Born in Kingfield, Maine., Mrs. Eblen was a homemaker. Her husband, Kenneth, died in 1991.
She is survived by a stepson, The Rev. Jim Eblen of Seattle.
Alden Lundberg Spokane
Visitation for Alden A. Lundberg, 78, is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-North. Service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
Mr. Lundberg, who was born in Ione, Wash., died Monday.
He graduated from Ione High School and received additional schooling through the military.
He retired in 1973 after working for the Navy Department of civil service as a structural engineer for 28 years. He moved to Spokane from Bremerton in 1980.
He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Bernardina Lundberg; two sons, Allan Lundberg of Spokane and Ronnie Lundberg of Ione; a daughter, JoAnn Reinhart of Miles City, Mont.; two brothers, Axel Lundberg of Spokane and Roy Lundberg of Othello, Wash.; two sisters, Sigrid Marsden of Everett and Inez Cameron of Spokane; 11 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
