Christian Groups Will Perform

Nina Culver Correspondent

Most people have heard of mustsee TV and must-see movies.

Pullman is hosting a must-see concert Wednesday featuring two of the hottest groups in contemporary Christian music.

Point of Grace and 4Him will perform, and both have spent a lot of time atop the music charts, with 22 No. 1 songs between them.

4Him released its debut album in 1990 and immediately scored a No. 1 hit with the single “Where There Is Faith.” The group’s four members - Andy Chrisman, Kirk Sullivan, Mark Harris and Marty Magehee - received the Dove Awards Group of the Year honor in 1993, 1994 and 1995. They also were named American Songwriter Magazine’s 1995 Christian Artist of the Year.

Point of Grace began as a Arkansas college band in 1991. The four women in the group - Terry Jones, Denise Jones, Shelley Phillips and Heather Floyd - won Group of the Year, Pop Album of the Year and Pop Song of the Year at the 1996 Dove Awards ceremony.

The quartet’s second album, “The Whole Truth,” spent 13 consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the contemporary Christian chart. The group’s current release, “Life, Love & Other Mysteries,” is No. 7 on this week’s Billboard chart of contemporary Christian albums.

Wednesday’s concert will begin at 7 p.m. at Living Faith Fellowship, 1035 S. Grand, Pullman.

Tickets are $18 in advance or $23 at the door. Tickets for groups of 15 or more are $16 in advance.

Tickets can be purchased by calling G&B Select-a-Seat at 325-SEAT or by calling Living Faith Fellowship at (509) 334-1035.
