Jason Bay’s two-run home run in the top of the seventh inning Saturday allowed visiting North Idaho College to beat Columbia Basin 3-2 and split a non-league doubleheader.

Bay’s blast rescued Shelby Hawkins (1-0), who threw a complete-game two-hitter.

The Hawks won the opener 5-4 in 13 innings. Dallas Lasky’s sacrifice fly scored Ian Louie in the 13th.
