Eloise Bartleson Spokane
Eloise Midge (Judson) Bartleson, Spokane, is 100 years old today. She was born March 24, 1897, in Whelan, Wash.
Mrs. Bartleson has lived at her current residence for the past 10 years and is a lifetime Inland Northwest resident.
She graduated from Lewiston Normal school and taught several years in Idaho and Washington schools before marrying Ray O. Bartleson in 1917.
The couple farmed in Winona, Pullman and Oakesdale, Wash., before ranching near Edwall, Wash., until they retired in 1960 near Cheney.
Mr. Bartleson died in 1976.
The couple are parents of Eloise Miller, Spokane; and Jack H. Bartleson, Chattaroy. Mrs. Bartleson has nine grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
She attributes her longevity to “not fretting over things that can’t be changed and not worrying too much about what happened.”
