Yuma-Bound Plane Focus Of Search

From Staff And Wire Reports

A search began Monday for a light aircraft with four people aboard that disappeared Sunday on a flight from Bozeman to Yuma, Ariz.

The Montana Aeronautics Division said the green and white, single-engine Cessna 210 left Bozeman about 12:15 p.m. Sunday, but failed to arrive in Yuma Sunday night.

Volunteer search-and-rescue pilots and the Civil Air Patrol are searching its probable route through southwestern Montana.

Redge Meierhenry of the state Aeronautics Division said that while most of the route is south of Montana, the search is focusing southwest of Bozeman because none of the other states on the route had bad weather.

The pilot was identified as Glen Hargrove of Three Forks. The passengers were Hargrove’s wife and two adults from Canada whose names were not immediately known.
