Ralph Bly Reardan, Wash.
No service will be held for Ralph H. Bly. Thornhill Valley Funeral Home is in charge of cremation.
Born in Espanola, Wash., Mr. Bly died Monday. He was 78.
He graduated from Reardan High School and began working as a farmer.
During World War II, he lived and worked in Portland, building ships. Following the war, he worked in construction and drove heavy equipment. He was involved with the development and preparation of the highway at Banks Lake near Coulee Dam.
He later moved to Chelan, Wash., and operated a trucking business. He operated a boat marina at Garfield Bay, Idaho, before he moved to Marysville, Wash., and started Ralph Bly Builders, working in home construction.
Mr. Bly then moved to Hawaii and started a building supply business.
He returned to Reardan in 1984 and built his own home.
He and his wife, Lucille, spent winters in Arizona.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Sandra Williamson of Utah; and two sisters, Marjorie Siverson and Helene Michlitch, and a brother, Jay Bly, all of Spokane.
Merton Holloway Spokane
Service for C. Merton Holloway, 77, will be held at a later date in Walla Walla. The Cremation Society of Washington is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Holloway, who died Sunday, was born in Great Falls, Mont., and moved to Walla Walla as a child.
He graduated from high school in Walla Walla and attended Eastern Washington University. He later attended Washington State University.
Mr. Holloway, a World War II Navy veteran, moved to Spokane 45 years ago and worked in construction and for Apollo Boats.
Survivors include two sons, Rick Holloway of Lake Havasu City, Ariz., and Cameron Holloway of Lake Tahoe, Calif.; two daughters, Laurel Walsh and Holly Baeschlin, both of Veradale; a brother, Ray Holloway of Walla Walla; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Lillian Phillips Spokane
Graveside service for Lillian Phillips, 90 will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Greenwood Memorial Terrace. Riplinger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Phillips, who died Monday, was born in Montevideo, Minn.
She lived in Spokane for 53 years and worked as a maid at hotels, including the Ridpath.
She was a member of the Royal Neighbors.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George.
Mrs. Phillips is survived by three sons, George Phillips of Lincoln City, Ore., Ernest Phillips of Spokane and Harry Phillips of San Mateo, Calif.; a daughter, Dorothy Phillips of Lordsburg, N.M.; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Linda ‘Jo’ Wilson Albion, Wash.
A memorial gathering for Linda “Jo” Wilson, 55, is planned for 1 p.m. Saturday at Simpson United Methodist Church in Pullman. Kimball Funeral Home in Pullman is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Wilson, who died Monday, was born in Wheatland, Wyo., and moved to Boise in 1951.
She graduated from high school in Boise and had lived and worked in Lewiston, and Asotin and Clarkston, Wash.
In 1980 she married Wiley Wilson, and they settled in Albion.
She was a secretary at Washington State University.
Mrs. Wilson was involved with teaching communications seminars to WSU staff and faculty, Hospice of the Palouse, Hospice of Southwestern Washington and other groups.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Cheri Faulk of Boise and Lorri Sandquist of Dallas, S.D.; a son, Dan Thiessen of Seattle; four stepchildren, four grandchildren and five stepgrandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southeastern Washington or Hospice of the Palouse.
Milburn ‘Meb’ Chrysler Spangle
Memorial service for Milburn “Meb” Chrysler, 78, is planned for 1 p.m. Saturday at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-North.
Born in Vassar, Mich., Mr. Chrysler died Sunday.
He moved to Spokane in 1936 to attend business college.
He served in the maritime division of the Army during World War II and retired from Blue Bell Potato Chip Co. in 1983.
He was a member of Second Church of Christ Scientist, Spangle Masonic Lodge No. 131, the Scottish Rite, El Katif Shrine and SPARKS, a sales organization.
Mr. Chrysler is survived by his wife of 57 years, Dolores Chrysler; a son, Douglas Chrysler of Chewelah, Wash.; a daughter, Beverly Barfield of Renton, Wash.; a brother, John Chrysler of Vassar; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Myrna Colbert Spokane
A memorial gathering for Myrna May Colbert, 79, will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday at the home of Paula and Roger Giddings. Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Colbert, who was born in Filer, Idaho, died Monday.
She graduated from high school in Buhl, Idaho, and had lived in Republic and Ellensburg, Wash., before moving to Spokane in 1974.
She was a homemaker.
Her husband, James Colbert, died in 1964.
Survivors include a son, David Colbert of Port Townsend, Wash.; two daughters, Ann Hart and Paula Giddings, both of Spokane; three brothers, Glen Sikes of Beaverton, Ore., Jack Sikes of Spokane and Art Sikes of Lacey, Wash.; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Kenneth May Moses Lake
Visitation for Kenneth H. May, former Othello, Wash., resident, is scheduled from 1 to 8 p.m. today at Stevens Funeral Chapel in Othello. Service will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Othello Church of the Nazarene. Burial will follow at Bess Hampton Memorial Gardens in Othello.
Mr. May, who died Saturday, was 62.
He was born in Ritzville, Wash., and graduated from Othello High School.
As a young man he was involved in rodeo. He participated in Othello’s first rodeo in 1948 and went on to win several bull-riding championships.
He farmed in Othello and worked for a trucking company in Toppenish, Wash., until 1970, when he established Ken May Livestock Hauling.
He moved to Moses Lake in the mid-1980s.
Survivors include a son, Jim May of Owyhee, Nev.; two daughters, Debbie May of Moses Lake and Laura May of Othello; four grandchildren, one great-granddaughter; and his companion, Val Harvey.
Marguerite ‘Margie’ Sisson Sandpoint
Visitation for Marguerite E. “Margie” Sisson, 72, will be today from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Coffelt Funeral Service in Sandpoint. Service will be held today at 11 a.m. at Coffelt’s Moon Chapel in Sandpoint. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Cemetery in Sandpoint.
Mrs. Sisson, who was born in Wisconsin, died Tuesday.
She grew up and attended schools in Bonner County and had lived in Washington and Oregon before moving to Wallace in 1958.
Mrs. Sisson moved to Bingen, Wash., in 1969 before moving to Post Falls in 1982.
She returned to Sandpoint in 1986.
Mrs. Sisson was preceded in death by her husband, Edmund.
Survivors include seven children, Gloria Hayes of Bingen, Linda Rassier of Spokane, Beverly Downs and Norma Chisholm, both of Lewiston, Donna Viall of Rathdrum, Idaho, and Donald Sisson and Carmen Sisson, both of Sandpoint; one brother, Harold Robertson of California; 19 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Ronald Groth Yuba City, Calif.
Memorial service for Ronald R. Groth, 66, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Heritage Funeral Home.
Mr. Groth died March 18 in Yuba City, where he had lived for 30 years.
He was born in Spokane, and graduated from Pullman High School and Washington State University.
He served in the Air Force from 1950 to 1970.
He was a retailer and business owner in Spokane and California.
Mr. Groth was a member of the WSU Alumni Association and the American Bowling Congress.
He is survived by his wife, Bernice Groth; a daughter, Pamela Durso of Yuba City; a sister, Sharon Nelson of Spokane; and two grandchildren.
Kay Johnston Vancouver, Wash.
Graveside service for Kay Johnston, 83, is set for 11 a.m. Friday at Spokane Memorial Gardens in Spokane. Thornhill Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Johnston died Tuesday in Vancouver, where she had recently moved.
She was born in Mandan, N.D., and came to Spokane in 1937.
She and her husband, Rolland Johnston, owned Rollie’s Landing on Badger Lake.
Her husband died in 1989.
She is survived by two daughters, Carole Bear of Otis Orchards and Rollene Leslie of Ridgefield, Wash.; a sister, two brothers, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Eloise Logar Rockford, Idaho
Memorial service for Eloise Peterson Logar, 89, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Riverside Mausoleum Chapel.
Mrs. Logar died March 12 in Mesa, Ariz., where she spent winters.
Born in Spokane, she graduated from West Valley High School and Washington State University.
She taught in the Central Valley School District and retired in 1965.
She had lived in Rockford for several years.
Mrs. Logar was a member of the Alpha Xi Delta sorority.
Survivors include her husband, Joe Logar; a daughter, Joanne Harken of Spokane; two brothers, Kenneth Harrington of Millwood and Robert Harrington of Long Beach, Wash.; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Rose Caferro Spokane
Funeral Mass for Rose M. Caferro, 80, was Wednesday at St. Aloysius Catholic Church. Private burial was at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Mrs. Caferro, who died Monday, was born in Spokane and graduated from Holy Names Academy.
She was a member of Gonzaga Philomathea. Her husband, Edward Caferro, died in 1977.
Survivors include two sons, Ron and Jay Caferro, both of Spokane; two sisters, Nella Galli and Gloria Lamanna, both of Spokane; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Gonzaga Prep Scholarship Fund.
Maud Ackerman Pullman
Service for Maud W. Ackerman, 93, will be at 1:30 p.m. today at Kimball Funeral Home in Pullman. Burial will be at the family plot in Eastmanville, Mich.
Mrs. Ackerman, who died Monday, was born in Grand Rapids, Mich.
Her husband, William Ackerman, died in 1984, and she moved to Pullman to be near her son.
She was a member of the Pullman Senior Center and Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include a son, Robert Ackerman of Pullman, and three grandchildren.
