Workshop Planned On Ice-Damaged Trees

From Staff Reports

A Washington State University horticulturist is offering free workshops on how to care for trees damaged by last November’s ice storm.

Ray Maleike will give a slide-show presentation and then take participants outside for a pruning demonstration.

The four workshops will take place at the Spokane County Ag Center, 222 N. Havana, just south of the county fairgrounds.

The first two workshops will be held Saturday, one from 9:30 to 11 a.m., and another from 1 to 2:30 p.m.

The last two will take place April 5; one from 9:30 to 11 a.m., and another from 1 to 2:30 p.m.
