Super Change - ? No? Change Back Superman

Nathan Sebright Deer Park

Superman a superhero who exemplifies all that is good about superheroes. He has super strength, super speed, super powers and a super costume.

Or at least he did until DC Comics ran into financial troubles and had to hire monkeys to draw. This can be the only explanation of Superman’s idiotic new costume. How else could this happen, unless the current artists enjoy sniffing glue?

His costume has been around for half a century and it is the most recognized costume of all superheroes. Or is it? Maybe that is the reason people keep getting him confused with either birds or planes. I know that is one of my biggest problems.

Maybe ditching his cape and eliminating the color red from his costume helps the sight impaired distinguish him from other objects flying through the sky.

Another change I do not understand is that now he wears a mask. If the people of Metropolis have gone the past 50 years without recognizing him as Clark Kent, why put a mask on him now? Were the people starting to think, “Wait a minute! That looks like that reporter. Oh, what is his name?”

And by putting a mask on now, does that solve anything? It’s not too hard to find a picture of what he used to look like.

Superman in his latest form does not have the patriotic colors an American hero should. What kind of message is he conveying with his new white and blue costume? He is now pledging his allegiance to Israel? Who knows, maybe his real name is Ishmael Kent.

I urge the primates or substance abusers in the art department of DC Comics to change him back. Superman fans around the world might strike against you, the artists, if you do not.
