Swedes Reach Finals

Jorgen Jonsson’s late goal and Tommy Salo’s stellar goaltending helped Sweden beat the Czech Republic 1-0 to reach the finals of the World Hockey Championships.

The other finalist in the best-of-3 series starting Sunday will be determined in today’s game between Canada and Russia. Russia needs at least a tie to qualify.
