Idaho Woman Wins $1.7 Million Jackpot

Associated Press

An Idaho woman has hit a $1.7 million jackpot on a progressive quarter slot machine at a Jackpot casino.

Linda Hewlett of McCall played about $30 before landing the largest Cool Millions Quarters jackpot in history Friday night at Cactus Petes Resort Casino.

“It’s just starting to sink in,” said the 48-year-old real estate secretary. “I couldn’t believe it. I thought that the machine had broken.”

She said she plans to use the winnings to send her granddaughter to basketball camp, then see her broker.

Cool Millions Quarters is a statewide network of slot machines developed and monitored by Las Vegas-based Casino Data Systems.
