U.S. Women Blast England

Cindy Parlow scored two first-half goals as the 1997 U.S. women’s national soccer team defeated England’s national team 6-0 at the University of Portland’s Merlo Field. It was the second consecutive win for the U.S. team.

Mia Hamm, the leading U.S. scorer, scored the first goal of the game. Tiffeny Milbrett, Kristine Lilly and Debbie Keller scored the other U.S. goals.
