Marianne Stuivenga Cusick, Wash.
Service for Marianne Stuivenga, 72, will be at 1 p.m. today at the Northview Bible Church. Burial will be at the Greenwood Memorial Terrace. Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-North is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Stuivenga, who was born in Birkenau, Germany, died Friday.
In 1947 she married Harry Stuivenga and they moved to Grangeview, Idaho, where they operated a grain and cattle ranch for 11 years.
In 1958 they moved to Mead and she assisted her husband with a dairy farm for 15 years before moving to Cusick in 1973 to operate a cattle and hay farm.
Mrs. Stuivenga was a member of Northview Bible Church and Cusick Community Church.
Survivors include her husband; four sons, John Stuivenga of Tacoma, Michael Stuivenga of Spokane, George Stuivenga of Cusick and James Stuivenga of San Francisco; two daughters, Dianna Morasch of Endicott, Wash., and Judith Saxon of Chattaroy; a brother, Hans Mueller of Spokane; two sisters, Margot Frey and Gretel Agostin, both of Germany; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Irene Hubbard Barnesville, Ohio
Visitation for Irene V. Hubbard, 87, is scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday at the Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-North. Service will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Fairmount Memorial Park.
Mrs. Hubbard, who was born in Thornton, Wash., died Thursday.
She married Forrest Peringer in 1927 in Colfax, Wash. He died in 1958.
In 1973 she married Kenneth Hubbard. He died in 1990.
Mrs. Hubbard moved to Spokane from Seattle in 1973 to retire. In 1995 she moved to Ohio.
She was a member of the Ladies of the Moose.
Survivors include a son, Forrest Michael Peringer of Seattle; two daughters, Nerine Seidler of Beallsville and Joyce Young of Sandpoint; a stepson, Keith Hubbard of Eugene, Ore; a stepdaughter, Ginny Arveson of Lynnwood, Wash; two sisters, Pauline Birch of Spokane and Evelyn Vergate of Moses Lake; 11 grandchildren, four stepgrandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, one stepgreat-grandchild and three great-great-grandchildren.

Everett Sieckmann Moscow, Idaho
Service and burial for Everett F. Sieckmann, 68, will be held later in Nebraska. Short’s Funeral Chapel in Moscow is in charge of local arrangements.
Mr. Sieckmann, a long-time Moscow resident and retired professor of physics at the University of Idaho, died Wednesday.
He was born in Nebraska and graduated from Doane College. He received a master’s degree from Florida State University and a doctorate in theoretical physics from Cornell University.
He taught physics at the University of Kentucky before moving to the University of Idaho. He was promoted to a full professorship in 1967 and retired in 1988.
Mr. Sieckmann was a member of several professional and educational organizations as well as the National Rifle Association and the Moscow Elks.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Lois; two daughters, Sharlene Miller of Missouri and Christine Ambrose of Spokane; a brother, Leslie Sieckmann of Nebraska; and two grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the National Osteoporosis Foundation.
Betty Lou Foote Spokane
No service will be held for Betty Lou Foote, 68, at her request. Private inurnment will be at the Spokane Memorial Gardens. Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Miss Foote, a lifetime Spokane resident, died Thursday.
She worked as both a local and longdistance telephone operator with Pacific Northwest Bell for 35 years. She retired in 1982.
Miss Foote is survived by a sister, June Foote of Spokane.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Spokane Food Bank or the homeless programs at the YWCA and the Salvation Army.
Raytha Smick Ritzville, Wash.
Service for Raytha Smick, 75, will be at 2:30 p.m. today at the Zion Congregational Church in Ritzville. Burial will be at the Dusty (Wash.) Cemetery. Danekas Funeral Chapel in Ritzville is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Smick, who was born in College Place, Wash., died Sunday.
She graduated from Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing and later received her bachelor of science degree from Loma Linda Medical School in California. She worked as a registered nurse and nursing supervisor in Olympia, Seattle and Toronto, Ontario.
Ten years ago she moved to Ritzville, where she was a homemaker and a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Her first husband, Don Cameron, died in 1952.
She is survived by her second husband, Charles Smick of Ritzville; a son, Randy Cameron of Calgary, Alberta; a brother, Marmond Hempel of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; a sister, Irline Ewing of College Place; and three grandchildren.

Mary Gadeken Spokane
Memorial service for Mary Helen Gadeken, 74, was Monday at the Northwood Presbyterian Church. Private inurnment was at the Greenwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Gadeken, who was born in Benkelman, Neb., died May 6.
She was a 44-year Spokane resident and worked as a substitute teacher for several Spokane school districts.
She bowled at the North Bowl with the Jet Set League and the Senior League.
Mrs. Gadeken was a member of Solo Strategies and Northwood Presbyterian Church.
Her husband, Howard Gadeken, died in 1992.
Survivors include a son, Bryan Gadeken of Redmond, Wash.; three daughters, Arceil Kettel of Colbert; Kristen Davis of Pullman and Dayna Gadeken of Spokane; a brother, Dale Blecha of Haigler, Neb.; three sisters, Virginia Blecha of Omaha, Neb., Ila League of Stratton, Neb., and Lila Manley of Ely, Iowa; and eight grandchildren.

James ‘Bill’ Mercer Palouse, Wash.
Service for James W. “Bill” Mercer, 72, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Palouse Federated Church. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Palouse. Kramer Funeral Home in Palouse is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Mercer, who was born in Sopchoppy, Fla., died Friday.
He entered the Army in 1942 and served during World War II with the 124th Infantry Division in the Pacific Theater. He re-enlisted in the Army Air Corps in 1946 and was discharged in 1947 as a corporal in the 308th Army Air Force Squadron.
He married Esther Kayser in 1947 in Palouse.
Mr. Mercer worked as a lumberman and grain warehouseman, and was a member of the Palouse Federated Church.
He is survived by his wife; three sons, John Mercer of Spokane, James Mercer of Exeter, Calif., and David Mercer of South Africa; two daughters, LeAnn Sinclair of Genesee, Idaho, and Susan Biarum of Kellogg; and six grandchildren.

Burton Williams Tensed, Idaho
Graveside service for Burton L. Williams, 64, was held Monday at the Woodlawn Cemetery in St. Maries. Mr. Williams, who was born in Pomeroy, Wash., died Friday.
He grew up in Lewiston and Genesee, Idaho, and Tekoa and Pomeroy, Wash.
Mr. Williams served in the Navy from 1951 to 1955 and later returned to the Tensed area where he worked as a farmer.
He owned a logging truck from 1962 to 1978 and worked in the timber industry before going to work for C.C. Beck and the Potlatch Corporation.
Mr. Williams also drove a logging truck for William Lowry. He retired due to illness in 1994.
He was a member of the St. Maries Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Laota; a daughter, Cindy Williams, his mother, Eileen Williams, and two brothers, James and Murvin Williams, all of St. Maries.

Mildred Alexander Lewiston
Service for Mildred A. Alexander, 89, will be today at 11 a.m. at the Yates Funeral Home in Coeur d’Alene. Burial will follow at the Forest Cemetery in Coeur d’Alene.
Mrs. Alexander, who was born in Oklahoma, died Saturday.
She grew up and attended schools in Oklahoma and Texas. She married A.B. Swink in 1929.
She later divorced and married Ira Alexander in 1943.
Mrs. Alexander lived and farmed in Worley, Idaho, until 1975. She moved to Coeur d’Alene in 1980 and to Lewiston in 1992.
Her husband, Ira Alexander, died in 1979.
Survivors include two sons, Dale Swink of Selah, Wash., and Kenneth Alexander of Arizona; two daughters, Helen Rice of Lewiston and Mary Albert of Coeur d’Alene; 11 grandchildren, one great-grandson, nine stepgreat-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson and two stepgreat-great-grandchildren.

Nina Yeager Deer Park
Graveside service for Nina G. Yeager, 63, was Monday at the Spokane Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Yeager, a longtime Deer Park resident, was born in Coffee, Mo. She died Thursday.
She worked as an accountant and bookkeeper for Solar Gas Company for five years and later worked for URM for more than 10 years.
Mrs. Yeager was a member of the Happy Home Church.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Weldon “Bud” Yeager; three sons, Mark, Terry and Jon Yeager; a daughter, Tina Sabo; two sisters and a brother; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Ruth Jorges Spokane
Service for Ruth Viola Jorges, 84, will be 11 a.m. today at Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home.
Mrs. Jorges, who was born in Alix, Alberta, died Friday.
She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 163.
Her husband of 56 years, William Jorges, died in 1990.
Survivors include a daughter, Kathleen Trip of Portland; two brothers, Leroy Sells of Colville, Wash., and Everett Sells of Lewiston; and two granddaughters.

Bernard Floether Odessa, Wash.
Service for Bernard Floether, 72, will be at 11 a.m. today at the Danekas Funeral Chapel in Ritzville, Wash. Burial will follow at the Lind (Wash.) Cemetery.
Mr. Floether, who was born near Lind, died Monday.
He attended school in Lind and later began farming.
He served in the Navy during World War II and returned to Lind after the war to resume farming.
In 1967, he moved to Odessa, where he worked at a service station and later for the Odessa Trading Company. He also worked for Lind Agri-service.
His first wife, Barbara, died in 1967.
He is survived by three daughters, Arlyce Steiner of Phoenix, and Glenda Robbins and Melesina Poston of League City, Texas; a brother, Fred Floether and a sister, Erna Atkerson, both of Lind; and three grandchildren.
Kelly Ruble Colville, Wash.
Service for Kelly A. Ruble, 79, was Monday at the Colville Seventh-day Adventist Church. Burial followed at the Highland Cemetery in Colville.
Mr. Ruble, who was born in Medical Lake, died Wednesday.
He was a longtime Colville resident, and a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Mr. Ruble was a World War II Army veteran and had worked as a building contractor.
He is survived by three daughters, Sharon Struthers of Sedro Wooley, Wash., Rita Ramos of Maui, Hawaii, and Rozella Stroud of Enumclaw, Wash.; a son, Ronald Ruble of Spokane; 11 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Ann Lorsung Spokane
Service for Ann M. Lorsung, 86, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Trinity United Methodist Church. Burial will be at the Spokane Memorial Gardens. Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Lorsung died Friday.
She was a lifetime Spokane resident and a homemaker.
Her husband, Lewis, died in 1982.
She is survived by three daughters, Diana Rogers of Chattaroy, and June Nelson and Sharon Stovall, both of Spokane; two sisters, Hazel Lawrence of Tacoma and Fay Busey of Railroad Flat, Calif.; nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

George Dent Spokane
Memorial service for George L. Dent, 77, is planned for 9:30 a.m. today at the Thornhill Valley Funeral Home. Private inurnment will be at the Pines Cemetery.
Mr. Dent, who was born in Edmunds, N.D., died Friday.
He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II in the European, African and Middle East theaters, and was awarded the Legion of Merit Medal.
In 1946 he married Pauline Dusko in Great Falls, Mont. They moved to Spokane in 1968.
Mr. Dent worked for Spokane Concrete Products and later retired as a plant manager.
Mr. Dent is survived by his wife; two sons, Bob Dent of Golden, Colo., and Jim Dent of San Jose, Calif.; a daughter, Virginia Wittig of Spokane; three sisters, Violet Bauer of Northridge, Calif., and Ruby Irons and Gracie Canoy, both of Great Falls; and a granddaughter.
