Suspect Arrested After High-Speed Chase
A Spokane Valley man suspected of violating a domestic violence protection order led deputies on a high-speed chase late Wednesday night before crashing his pickup truck, authorities said.
Sheriff’s officers said Vince Culp, 34, attempted to flee on foot but was arrested.
He was booked into the county jail on suspicion of vehicular assault and eluding officers, said Sheriff’s Department spokesman David Reagan.
The chase began after deputies responded to the N220 block of Ella. Deputies were told Culp was driving by in violation of the protection order.
Culp raced through streets in the area. A passenger jumped from the pickup in the N1300 block of Stout and was injured, Reagan said.
A short time later, Culp crashed into a Geo Metro sedan in the intersection of Mullan and Boone. The driver of the Metro was taken to a local hospital for treatment of minor wounds, Reagan said.
Culp was not injured in the crash. , DataTimes
