Charles Davis Spokane
Service for Charles E. Davis, 69, was held Monday at Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home. Burial followed at Fairmount Memorial Park.
Mr. Davis, who was born in Boise, died Tuesday.
He was a graduate of Cheney High School.
A 46-year resident of Spokane, Mr. Davis worked as a electronics technician.
He is survived by two daughters, Brenda Davis and Carrie Bratton, both of Spokane; two brothers, Don and Denton Davis, both of Spokane; and two granddaughters.
Marvin Link Veradale
Service for Marvin Link will be at 11 a.m today at the First Baptist Church in Colfax, Wash. Burial will be at Dusty Cemetery in Dusty, Wash. Bruning Funeral Home in Colfax is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Link, who was born in College Place, Wash., died Friday. He was 71.
He attended Penawawa School and attended high school at the Granger Academy.
In 1951 he married Patricia Henderson in Pomeroy, Wash. They later divorced, and he married Lucretia Grove Cox in 1975. She died in 1993.
He farmed on the family farm in the Penawawa area until retiring in 1989.
In 1991 he moved to Spokane and was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and the Good Sam Club.
Survivors include two sons, David and Jon Link, both of Colfax; a daughter, Julie Herro of Spokane; a brother, Willard Link of West Linn, Ore.; and seven grandchildren.

Roy Parker Chewelah, Wash.
Service for Roy V. Parker, 72, was held Monday at Chewelah Seventh-day Adventist Church. Burial was at the Chewelah Memorial Park.
Mr. Parker, who was born in Continental, Ohio, died Thursday.
He served in the Army during World War II and in 1972 moved to Chewelah from Redmond, Wash.
He farmed until retiring in 1982.
He was a member of the Chewelah Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Mr. Parker is survived by his wife, Doris; two sons, Jeffery Parker of Kent, Wash., and Richard Parker of Chattaroy; two daughters, Cynthia Akard of Westminster, Colo., and Diana Thorburn of Redmond; two sisters, Mary Kalmeyer of Worcester, Mass., and Bonnie Kokelaar of Ann Arbor, Mich.; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Richard Lewis Spokane
Service for Richard C. Lewis, 71, will be at 10 a.m. today at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-North. Burial will be at Pleasant View Cemetery in Ford, Wash.
Mr. Lewis, who was born in Sayre, Pa., died Friday.
He was a 20-year Spokane resident.
Mr. Lewis served in the Army during World War II in Europe and in the Normandy Invasion. He later served in the Air Force for a total of 11 years served.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Edena; three daughters, Karen Stuckel and Ann Dituri, both of Spokane, and Nancy Farrell of Marysville, Wash.; a son, David Lewis of Spokane; one sister, Leatha Pierce of Kenmore, N.Y.; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Fern Ryan Scott Potlatch, Idaho
Graveside service for Fern Ryan Scott, 86, will be at 2 p.m. today at the Moscow (Idaho) Cemetery. Kramer Funeral Home in Palouse is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Scott, who was born in Spokane, died Thursday.
She attended schools in Moscow and later attended beauty school and worked as a licensed beautician until 1992.
She married Dennis Ryan in Moscow and later married Fred Scott and they owned Scott’s Appliance Store in Moscow.
Mr. Scott died in 1983 and Mrs. Scott then moved to Stockton, Calif. In 1990 she moved to Potlatch from California. She had lived in Moscow since 1991.
Survivors include two sons, Dennis Ryan and Paul Scott, both of Fresno, Calif.; and a grandson.
Colleen Fontaine Spokane
Service for Colleen Fay (Walter) Fontaine, 66, will be at noon today at Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home. Burial will be at Conrad Memorial Cemetery in Kalispell, Mont.
Mrs. Fontaine, who was born in Ely, Nev., died Saturday.
She was a 36-year Spokane resident and had worked as a cook for various restaurants. Mrs. Fontaine was a member of the United Food and Commercial Workers Union Local 1439.
Survivors include two sons, Cliff and Jim Walter of Spokane; a sister, Virginia Kellogg of Kent, Wash.; and five grandchildren.
Val Funk Spokane
Funeral Mass for Val Funk, 79, will be at 9 a.m. today at St. Paschal Catholic Church. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in the Spokane Valley. Hennessey-Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Funk, who was born in Dodge, N.D., died Friday.
In 1944 he married Margaret Leude in Dodge.
He had worked as a custodian for the West Valley School District.
Survivors include his wife; six children, Carol Lund, Sharlotte Brown, Cary Funk, Glenn Funk, Lyal Funk and Mark Funk; three brothers, five sisters, 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
May Espy Palouse, Wash.
Memorial service for May E. Espy, 88, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Palouse Church of the Nazarene. Inurnment will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Palouse. Kramer Funeral Home in Palouse is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Espy, who was born on the family farm, between Potlatch, Idaho and Garfield, Wash., died Saturday.
She attended the Burden Country School and the Palouse School.
In 1927 she married Earl Espy in Lewiston, and they moved to Palouse in 1941.
Mrs. Espy was a homemaker and had worked as a housekeeper at Washington State University and had also worked for R.A. Hanson Co. for three years. She was a member of the Palouse Senior Citizens Club.
Her husband, Earl, died in 1973.
Survivors include a daughter, Joanna Shafer of Palouse, and a sister, Marie Crandall of Spokane.

William Blummert Jr. Spokane
Vigil service for William Charles Blummert Jr. will be at 8 p.m. today at Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Charles Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Mr. Blummert, who was born in New York City, died Friday. He was 48.
He graduated from Shadle Park High School and attended Peninsula College in Port Angeles, Wash.
He was a 35-year Spokane resident and worked as an inventory clerk for the railroad.
He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railway Associated Clerks, the Moose Lodge, and the Eagles Lodge No. 2.
Mr. Blummert is survived by a daughter, Angela Blummert of Seattle; his mother, Teresa Blummert of Spokane; two brothers, Bruce Blummert of Spokane and Gary Blummert of Portland; and a sister, Joan King of San Francisco.

Michael Sebero Spokane
Funeral Mass for Michael J. Sebero, 95, will be at 10 a.m. today at St. Ann Catholic Church. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery. Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Sebero, who was born in Wagner, Wis., died Saturday.
He was honorably discharged from the National Guard in 1924 and had served in the Army during World War II.
He was a millworker and a member of the St. Vincent DePaul Society and the Moose Lodge.
His wife of 74 years, Irene Taller, died in 1992.
Mr. Sebero is survived by a brother, Dan Sebero of Klamath Falls, Ore.; five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.

Mary Thornton Bonners Ferry, Idaho
At her request, no service will be held for Mary A. Thornton, 65. English Funeral Chapel in Coeur d’Alene is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Thornton, who was born in Ontario, died Sunday. She moved to North Idaho in 1996 from California.
Survivors include her husband, Lloyd; two sisters, Irene Logen and Cleone Hodgson, both of Canada; a stepdaughter-in-law, Joanie Thornton of California; one brother; and three grandchildren.

Marie Edwards Coeur d’Alene
Memorial service for Marie Alta Edwards, 80, will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Yates Funeral Home, Hayden Chapel.
Mrs. Edwards, who was born in Nebraska, died Saturday.
She had lived in California and Oregon before moving to Coeur d’Alene in 1994.
She married Clayton Robinson in 1936 and he preceded her in death.
Mrs. Edwards also was preceded in death by her second husband of 27 years, Charles, in 1993.
Survivors include a daughter, Sharon Park of Hayden Lake; a sister, Glena Slezak of Arizona; three grandsons and two great-grandsons.

Richard Orton Wallace
Visitation for friends of Richard Frank “Dick” Orton, 68, is scheduled from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Wallace Funeral Chapel. Memorial service will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. at the Wallace United Methodist Church. Shoshone Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Orton, who was born in Colorado, died Sunday.
He moved to North Idaho from Colorado in 1952 and worked as an electrician for Hecla Mining Co. from 1952 until his retirement in 1986.
He also worked part time as a maintenance engineer for the Shoshone County Safety Building after his retirement.
He was a member of the Wallace Elks, Burke/Wallace United Methodist Church and several bowling leagues.
In 1946 he married June Wolfe in Colorado.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Duane Orton of Wallace, Rick Orton of Prichard, Idaho, Larry Orton of Oregon and Bill Orton of Osburn, Idaho; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Marguerite Dalton Osburn, Idaho
Service for Marguerite Neomia Dalton, 80, will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Kellogg Funeral Chapel. Shoshone Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Dalton, who was born in Colorado, died May 16.
She graduated from high school in Colorado and moved to North Idaho in 1948 from Arizona.
Mrs. Dalton had worked as the accountant for Dalton Mobile Home Sales in Osburn.
She married Russell Dalton in New Mexico in 1940.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years; a son, Donald Dalton of Oklahoma; a daughter, Darlene Rowe of South Bend, Wash.; and three grandchildren.
Nathan Sines St. Maries
Evening prayer service for Nathan D. Sines, 19, will be today at 7 p.m. at Yates-Hodge Funeral Home in St. Maries. Burial Mass is planned for Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in St. Maries.
Mr. Sines, who was born in Pullman, died Sunday from injuries suffered in an automobile accident in Spokane.
He lived in Troy, Mont., Moscow, and St. Maries, graduating in 1995 from St. Maries High School, where he was active in track.
Mr. Sines had worked at Archie’s I.G.A. and recently Super Foods in St. Maries.
Survivors include his mother, Elizabeth Behrends, and a brother, Benjamin Behrends, both of St. Maries; two sisters, Tamara Sines and Annie Behrends, both of St. Maries; his grandparents, Eugene and Anna Sines of St. Maries, and Betty Behrends of Utah; and great-grandmother, Moreeta Taylor of St. Maries.
