Clinton Shakes A Leg For The Golf Course
President Clinton made a beeline for the putting green after doctors declared his bad knee sufficiently healed.
The president’s doctors said Tuesday he could resume his golf game at its most basic level. As soon as he finished speaking at a welfare event, Clinton headed out to practice on the White House south grounds.
“He’ll probably work his way up through the bag - start with the putter, then he can do some light chipping and then move up from that,” said White House spokesman Mike McCurry.
“He needed to work on his putting game anyhow, in my opinion. Too many ‘gimmes,”’ McCurry said.
