Hoopfest ‘97 Reaches Capacity

Hoopfest, the annual 3-on-3 basketball tournament in downtown Spokane, has reached its capacity.

Entry forms are no longer available for the 1997 renewal, scheduled for June 28-29. Teams that have their entry forms completed may submit them, executive director Rick Steltenpohl said. However, the waiting list already holds more than 200 teams.

The largest tournament of its kind in the world, Hoopfest will match its record number of teams this summer. As a result, Steltenpohl said, volunteers are needed to work in all areas of the tournament. Interested people may telephone (509) 624-2414 for further information. , DataTimes
