Canucks Consider Keenan For Gm

Associated Press

Mike Keenan’s agent said the Vancouver Canucks contacted him about hiring the volatile former coach as general manager.

Keenan’s agent, Rob Campbell, said Steve Bellringer, president and chief executive of Orca Bay Sports & Entertainment, the company that owns the Canucks, contacted him about Keenan.

Bellringer wouldn’t say whether he contacted Campbell.

Keenan, known for his intensity, has been unemployed since the St. Louis Blues fired him in December from his job as coach and general manager.
