‘Boogie Nights’ Is Funky Fun

“Boogie Nights,” a bombastic, full-frontal assault of the senses, grooves along to its funky disco sounds with gleeful vibrance. This retro epic follows up-and-coming adult film stud Dirk Diggler (Mark Walhberg) through the lavishly excessive ups and the coke-fried lows of the pleasure-hungry adult film world. The film is sprinkled with many endearing, yet self-destructive, characters, all of whom have dreams.
