Humongous Teams With Nickelodeon
Humongous Entertainment, a leading publisher of children’s computer software, has teamed up with Nickelodeon to create software based on one of the cable channel’s more popular shows for preschoolers.
Humongous, based in this Seattle suburb, said Thursday it has a five-year partnership to create CD-ROM titles for preschoolers based on the “Blue’s Clues” TV show.
Humongous has built up a library of kids’ software based on its original characters, such as Putt Putt the car, Freddi Fish and Pajama Sam. Though it has discussed deals in the past with Disney, Warner Bros. and Turner, this is the first time it has agreed to develop software based on others’ characters, said Ralph Giuffre, executive vice president of marketing and licensing.
