Man Thrown From Pickup Dies

From Staff And Wire Reports

A man died over the weekend when he was thrown from his truck while careening down a 172-foot embankment. He may have been drinking, the Idaho State Police reported Sunday.

The man was killed after swerving on U.S. Highway 95 just north of town. The 1976 Chevy pickup went off the road’s east side and down the embankment. The driver wasn’t wearing a seat belt.

Investigators don’t know when the wreck happened, but were called in at 8:35 a.m. Sunday. The man died at the scene and was taken to Bonners Ferry Funeral Home.

Authorities would not release the man’s name.
