Look Up Doctors’ Status On Web Sites

A recent issue of the publication Pediatric News reported on three Web sites where consumers can investigate physicians’ board-certification status.

The American Board of Medical Specialties’ site, www.certifieddoctor.org, allows users to browse for doctors by specialty and locale and to acquire certification information on specific doctors.

The American Medical Association offers similar information through its “Physician Select” program at www.amaassn.org.

Information at both sites is available at no charge.
