Man Denies Guilt In Seagals Case
A man accused of putting a video camera in the dressing room of the Seattle Seahawks cheerleaders pleaded innocent Friday to a charge of second-degree criminal trespassing.
Seattle District Judge Darcy C. Goodman set a pretrial hearing for Oct. 23 for Randall Jay Palmer, 37, a Kingdome maintenance electrician.
If convicted, he faces up to 90 days in jail and a $1,000 fine.
Palmer is accused of hiding a video camera in a light fixture in the room where the SeaGals change on Sept. 21, a few hours before the Seahawks’ game against the San Diego Chargers. One of the cheerleaders noticed the camera lens and notified authorities.
As it turned out, Palmer taped only himself during the unauthorized installation. Court documents said that when he thought he was turning the camera on, he actually ejected the tape.
Palmer has been suspended from his job.
