Rian Walling Promoted To Marine Lance Corporal
Marine Lance Cpl. Rian F. Walling, daughter of Dick Wallings of Post Falls, has been promoted to her present rank while serving with Headquarters Battalion, Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, Twentynine Palms, Calif.
Walling, who joined the Marine Corp in June of 1996, was cited for sustained superior job performance and proficiency in her designated specialty.
Misty D. Moser, daughter of Cynthia Thomas of Post Falls and Michael Moser of Athol, Idaho, has enlisted in the Army as an administrative specialist.
Moser, a 1994 Post Falls High School graduate, will qualify for up to a $3,000 cash incentive and has enrolled in the G.I. Bill for up to $15,403 toward full-time schooling.
She joined the Army for experience, skill training and money for college.
Rocque R.R. Bradley, a Coeur d’Alene resident and daughter of Linda Bradley of Clarkston, Wash. and Roger Bradley of Puyallup, Wash., has enlisted in the Army’s Delayed Entry Program as a wheel vehicle repairer and will attend basic training at Fort Jackson, S.C.
Bradley, a 1994 graduate of John R. Rogers High School in Puyallup, qualifies for a $3,000 cash incentive and will be stationed at Fort Lewis, Wash., after her basic and advanced individual training.
Marvin G. Currier III, a Coeur d’Alene resident and son of Marvin and Sharon Currier of San Diego, has enlisted in the Army as a mental health specialist and recently departed for advanced individual training at Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
Currier, a 1992 graduate of Foundation High School in San Diego, joined the Army for experience and skill training.
Daniel J. Beatty, a Post Falls resident and son of Fred and Cathy Beatty of Spokane, has enlisted in the Army’s Delayed Entry Program as a counterintelligence assistant and will depart for basic training next April.
Beatty, a 1993 Deer Park High School graduate, has enrolled in the G.I. Bill and qualifies for up to $15,403 toward full-time schooling.
Warren W. Whitten, son of George Whitten of Spirit Lake, Idaho, and Sonja Orton of Elko, Nev., has joined the Army as a wheel vehicle repairer and recently departed for basic training at Fort Knox, Ky.
Whitten, a 1997 graduate of Lakeland High School, qualifies for a $3,000 cash incentive and joined the Army for skill training and experience.
