All-West Sale Set For Sunday; 154 Horses To Be Up For Auction

One hundred twenty thoroughbred and 34 Arabians are scheduled to go up for auction Sunday at the annual All-West Sale.

The event at Spokane International Fairgrounds starts at noon.

Horses for sale include some of the top racing and breeding prospects in the Northwest, auctioneer Gary Thams said.

Idaho game on cable channels

Idaho’s football game against Nevada on Saturday will be televised live in parts of North Idaho.

The Big West Conference game from Reno, Nev., will be shown on cable Ch. 21 in Coeur d’Alene and Ch. 11 in Moscow.

Spawn finish third

The Spokane Spawn lost to Seattle’s East Side Pirates 9-8 in 12 innings Thursday at the National Adult Baseball Association 30-and-over tournament in Phoenix, Ariz.

Steve McDonald sparked the Spawn to a third-place finish with a .522 batting average over six games.
