African Children’s Choir To Sing At Fourth Memorial

The African Children’s Choir, a group of 26 youngsters from 5 to 12 years old, will be in concert at 7 p.m. Friday at Fourth Memorial Church, 2000 N. Standard.

The children, selected from needy orphans and destitute children in East Africa, perform an endearing message of hope and joy, a spokesman said.

“They represent all things good wrought by the generosity of contributors to Third World relief efforts,” the spokesman said.

The choir received a Grammy nomination for Best Gospel Choir in 1992.

Friday’s concert is free.
