Hints From Heloise

King Features Syndicate

Dear Heloise: Several years ago my dear mother-in-law gave me the most wonderful “welcome to the family” gift. She had organized the names and addresses of their rather large, extended family into a loose-leaf notebook. She included dates and places of birth, anniversaries, deaths and even put in the names of family pets.

Not only do I frequently use it, but her sisters, daughters and granddaughters rely upon their copies as the undisputed source of family facts. - Donna McAnally, New Caney, Texas

Give your mother-in-law a big Heloise Hug for this fantastic gift idea. It’s the best! - Heloise

Dear Heloise: I came up with a hint to recycle bubble wrap. I use it to make trouser hangers from regular clothes hangers. I cut the wrap 2 inches shorter than the hanger, wrap the bubble wrap around the hanger several times and tape securely on the ends. This keeps the trousers from getting creased in the middle of the leg. - Dorothy Dickert, Lexington, S.C. xxxx
