Analysis

If Seattle can’t beat St. Louis, the Seahawks have no business even thinking or uttering the word “playoff.” The Rams have a stable of young talent that appears to be reading from different playbooks. Seattle is nearly healthy. The key returners, tackle Cortez Kennedy, receiver Joey Galloway and running back Chris Warren, should have lively legs. The Seahawks probably will pound away at a speed-oriented defense, mix in a few Warren Moon long passes and - voila! - move their record to 4-3. Teams with 4-3 records can think playoffs and, in this case, thank the schedule maker. Teams that are 3-4 with losses to St. Louis can start thinking tee times.
