Everett Oglesbee Spokane
Visitation for Everett G. Oglesbee, 71, will be from 3 to 5 p.m. today at Thornhill Valley Funeral Home. Service is set for 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Pines Cemetery.
Mr. Oglesbee, who was born in Fromberg, Mont., died Tuesday.
He served with the Navy in the Pacific during World War II.
In 1944 he married Betty Presnell in Coeur d’Alene.
He moved from Missoula to Spokane in 1956.
Mr. Oglesbee worked for K&K Drywall Company and Modern Drywall Company for 27 years and retired in 1987 as a superintendent.
He was a member of the Carpenters Union Local 98 and the Elks Lodge.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Douglas and James Oglesbee, both of Spokane, Richard Oglesbee of Sumner, Wash., and Robert Oglesbee of Veradale; a daughter, Susan Doyl of Kennewick; three brothers, Kenneth Oglesbee of Orting, Wash., Harold Oglesbee of Spokane and Thomas Oglesbee of Cusick, Wash.; a sister, Jean Talmadge of Missoula; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
Dorothy (Kaesemeyer) Brown Spokane
Memorial service for Dorothy Mae (Kaesemeyer) Brown, 75, is planned for 11 a.m. today at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-South.
Mrs. Brown, a lifetime Spokane resident, died Tuesday.
She worked in the 1940s and 1950s as a retouch artist for Chet Studios. She later worked in meat processing for several companies such as Hygrade, Armor, Albertsons and Rosauers. She retired from Rosauers in the early 1970s.
Mrs. Brown was a member of the Eagles Lodge.
She is survived by a son, Edward Sowl of Columbia Falls, Mont.; two daughters, Christine Pajnich of Columbia Falls and Dorothy McDonald of Seattle; a stepdaughter, Tammy Walters and a stepson, Brock Barnhart, both of Columbia Falls; a sister, Betty Jean McCallum of Chattaroy; five grandchildren and four great-grandsons.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association or the National Kidney Foundation.
William Sheard Mica
Service for William John Sheard, 79, will be at 11 a.m. today at Thornhill Valley Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Pines Cemetery.
Mr. Sheard, who was born Shaunavon, Saskatchewan, died Monday.
He farmed in Montana and near Chewelah before moving to Mica in 1949.
Mr. Sheard was a member of the grange and the Inland Empire Steam and Gas Buffs.
He is survived by his special friend, Alice Bean of Mica; four brothers, Allan and Donald Sheard, both of Mica, Norman Sheard of Post Falls and Walter Sheard of Spokane; five sisters, Florence Newell and Verna Carr, both of Spokane, Margaret Rasmussen of Liberty Lake, Anne Page of Tacoma and Eleanor Holmes of Tekoa, Wash.

James LaSalle Spokane
Graveside service for James E. LaSalle, 49, will be at 3 p.m. today at Riverside Memorial Park. A second graveside service will be held Nov. 1 at the cemetery. Riplinger Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. LaSalle, who died Sep. 22, was a lifetime resident of Spokane.
He served with the Marine Corps in Vietnam. He later served in the Army.
Mr. LaSalle worked as a truck driver for Goodwill Industries.
He is survived by his mother, Lois LaSalle of Spokane; four sons, Eddie, Chris and Kevin LaSalle, all of Spokane, and Steven LaSalle; three stepdaughters, Lisa, Stephanie and Traci Reedy, all of Spokane; a sister, Sandi Elred of Spokane; a brother, Mike LaSalle of Spokane and three grandchildren.
Harry Hansen Spokane
Visitation for Harry J. Hansen, 83, will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and from 8 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Heritage Funeral Home. Memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church.
Mr. Hansen, who died Wednesday, was born in West Point Neb.
He moved to Spokane from Riverton, Wyo., in 1966.
He worked as a district representative for Aid Association for Lutherans Life Insurance from 1958 until retiring in 1979.
Mr. Hansen was a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, the International Layman’s League, Spokane Lutheran School and the Riverview Terrace Retirement Center.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Phyllis; two daughters, Thelma Woodard of Arvada, Colo., and Karen Wilson of Spokane; two sons, Ron Hansen of Lander, Wyo., and Gerald Hansen of Spokane; two sisters, Myrtle Greasch of Buhl, Idaho, and Irene Bart of Crawford, Neb., and 10 grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lutheran Hour Ministries, Spokane Lutheran School, Gloria Dei Lutheran Church or Hospice of Spokane.
Mildred Streeter Coeur d’Alene
Service for Mildred J. Streeter, 80, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at English Funeral Chapel in Coeur d’Alene. Burial will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Streeter, who was born in North Dakota, died Wednesday.
She moved to Smelterville, Idaho, in 1942 and then to Coeur d’Alene in 1948.
Mrs. Streeter had worked as a nurse’s aide at Lake City General Hospital in Coeur d’Alene and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She was a member of the Good Sam Club and a local square dance group.
Two husbands preceded her in death, Ernest Kjos in 1957 and Paul Streeter in 1988.
Survivors include a son, Gerald Kjos of Spokane; a daughter, Carole Lee of Sagle, Idaho; a stepson, Charles Streeter of Post Falls; a brother, Oliver Peterson of Coeur d’Alene; two sisters, Iola Hayward of Seattle, and Marie Cooper of Colorado; 14 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.
Ida Johnston Spokane
Memorial service for Ida Bernice Johnston, 95, will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Riplinger Funeral Home.
Mrs. Johnston, a homemaker , died Wednesday.
She was born in Telluride, Colo.
Mrs. Johnston was a homemaker and had lived in Spokane for 70 years.
Her husband, Elmer Johnston, died in 1980.
She is survived by a daughter, Bonnie Moffatt of Spokane; a son, Spencer Johnston of Merced, Calif.; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Joyce Scott Colville
Service for Joyce Marlene Scott, 62, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Colville United Methodist Church. Cremation will follow. Danekas Funeral Chapel in Colville is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Scott, who was born in Spokane, died Monday.
She graduated in 1953 from Jenkins High School in Chewelah.
In 1955 she married Duane Scott in Chewelah. They made their home in Colville.
Mrs. Scott helped with the bookkeeping at Duane Scott Tire Company in Colville.
She was a member of the Sundowners Bowling League, the Upper Columbia Boat Club, the Arrow Yacht Club, the Colville Improvement Club, the Daughters of the Nile, the Eagles Auxiliary and the Lady Republicans.
Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Annette Anzelini of Anchorage, Alaska, Kathy Wilcox of Spangle, and Diane Douvia of Colville; her mother, Edna Atwood of Colville; a brother, Ed Atwood Jr. of Springdale, Wash., and nine grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children.
Clyde Shafer Greenacres
Memorial service for Clyde A. Shafer, 75, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Thornhill Valley Funeral Home. Inurnment will follow at Pines Cemetery.
Mr. Shafer, a 43-year Spokane resident, died Tuesday.
He was born in Mulhall, Okla.
Mr. Shafer served in the Army Air Force during World War II.
He retired in 1987 from Degerstrom Construction after 30 years of service.
Mr. Shafer was a member of American Legion Post 130.
He is survived by his wife, Eunice; a daughter, Patty Lewno of Spokane; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and one step-great-grandson.
Teresa-Lyn Asmussen Spokane
Private memorial service for Teresa-Lyn Marie Asmussen, 22, will be Monday. The Cremation Society of Washington is in charge of the arrangements. Inurnment will be held at the New Hope Baptist Cemetery west of Westville, Okla.
Ms. Asmussen was born in Thousand Oaks, Calif. She was murdered earlier this month.
She moved to Spokane in 1978 and graduated from Lewis and Clark High School.
Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Marilyn and Robert Moreau of Watts, Okla.; her father and stepmother, Fred and Kathi Asmussen of Spokane; a daughter, Cassandra Moreau of Watts, Okla.; two sisters, Victoria McConnell of Watts, Okla., and Julie Moreau of Spokane and five brothers, David Legge of Palmdale, Calif., Daniel Asmussen of Phoenix, David Asmussen of La Grande, Ore., Michael Asmussen of Spokane and Jeff Moreau of Salem, Ore.

John Roth, Jr. Spokane
Service for John Roth Jr., 86, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Strate Funeral Home in Davenport, Wash. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Harrington, Wash.
Mr. Roth, who was born in Marlin, Wash., died Monday.
He graduated from Harrington High School and Whitworth College.
In 1941 he married Marjorie Fiske in Harrington.
Mr. Roth worked for the Washington State Employment Security Department for seven years. He then moved from Olympia to Harrington, where he farmed for eight years.
He moved back to Olympia and worked again for the Washington State Employment Security Department, from which he retired after 25 years as a training coordinator.
Mr. Roth moved to Spokane after his retirement.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Bluestem Grange.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Marjorie; a son, Stanley Roth of Spokane; a brother, Bill Roth of Reardan; three sisters, Lydia Loeffelbein of Harrington, Ruth Pitner of Spokane and Josephine Roth of Valleyford, and two grandsons.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Harrington Cemetery Endowment Fund.
Winifred Hix Spokane
Memorial service for Winifred Hix, 98, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Rockwood Manor. Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Hix, who was born in Whitehall, Mont., died Oct. 13.
In 1921 she married E.L. Hix in Spokane.
They moved to Dayton, Wash., for two years, then to Lewiston for seven years, before returning to Spokane.
Mrs. Hix worked in the young men’s clothing department at The Crescent for 11 years.
She was a member of Westminster Congregational Church and the Naomi Chapter.
Her husband died in 1985.
Survivors include a son, Robert Hix of Bellevue, Wash.; three granddaughters and four great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Westminster Congregational Church or Rockwood Residents Foundation.
Ellen Lindstrom Spokane
No service will be held for Ellen M. Lindstrom, 90, at her request. Inurnment will be held at Riverside Memorial Park. Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-South is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Lindstrom, who was born in Duluth, Minn., died Wednesday.
She moved to Spokane in 1930 and graduated from Holy Names College.
Mrs. Lindstrom taught kindergarten at Roosevelt and Wilson elementary schools for many years.
She was a member of the Manito Golf and Country Club and the Retired Teachers Association.
Her husband, Ray Lindstrom, died in 1980.
There are no surviving family members.
