The Justice Department has told the NCAA it may be discriminating against learning disabled athletes by not accepting certain high school courses.

USA Today reported that the NCAA was found to be in violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

The Justice Department urged the NCAA to grant another year of eligibility to 34 students who were held out of competition as freshmen last year because the NCAA determined the learning disabled classes they took in high school did not meet standards established by the NCAA.
