Report: Brewers, Not K.C., May Be Switching Leagues

The Milwaukee Brewers almost certainly will switch to the National League, a Milwaukee television station reported Thursday night.

WISN-TV quoted sources close to the Brewers as saying the Kansas City Royals have not reached a decision, clearing the way for the Brewers to leave the American League, with an announcement possible as soon as today.

In a 27-0 vote before the World Series, owners decided to move the Detroit Tigers from the A.L. East to the A.L. Central, and put the Tampa Bay Devil Rays in the East. They then gave the Royals first chance to move into the N.L.
