WSU Alumni Top Nationwide Donor Ranking
Alumni of Washington State University lead the nation in their rate of donations to a public university, according to a news magazine survey.
About 35 percent of the people who received an undergraduate degree from WSU gave donations during the 1995 and 1996 academic years, U.S. News and World Report said in its annual best colleges edition.
“This verifies what we have always known, that Cougars are exceedingly proud of their high-quality education at WSU,” said Connie Kravas, president of the WSU Foundation.
The university recently completed its first comprehensive fund-raising campaign, gathering $275.4 million from 137,100 donors in the multi-year campaign.
