Martha Reuschling Coeur d’Alene
Memorial service for Martha Reuschling, 89, will be Friday at 4 p.m. at Lutheran Church of the Master, 4800 Ramsey Road, Coeur d’Alene. Yates Funeral Home in Coeur d’Alene is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Reuschling, who was born in Frankfurt, Germany, died Saturday.
She grew up and attended school in Frankfurt and married Anton Reuschling in 1928.
Mrs. Reuschling operated a retail business for 30 years before moving to Canada in 1954. She moved to California in 1955 and to Coeur d’Alene in 1982.
She was a member of the Lutheran church.
Mrs. Reuschling was preceded in death by her husband, Anton, who died in 1980.
Survivors include two daughters, Anneliese Hinkelmann of Coeur d’Alene and Inge Cristiano of California; a sister, Anna Henns of Germany; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Jack White Pinehurst
Memorial service for Jack White, 56, will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Kellogg Funeral Chapel. Shoshone Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. White, who was born in Kellogg, died Monday in a logging accident near Emida, Idaho.
He was a lifelong Silver Valley resident and was a crane operator in the logging industry.
Mr. White was a member of the Associated Pilots of America and the Associated Logging Contractors.
He was a former member of the Wallace Elks.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Ronee; a daughter, Trudy Hespelt of Twin Lakes, Idaho; a son, Cory White of Kellogg; his mother, Helen Cotter of Seattle; his stepmother, Carol Hasz of Pinehurst, Idaho; three brothers, Paul White of Richland, Richard White of Coeur d’Alene and Dennis Beaubier of Seattle; and two sisters, Darlene Pearson of Woodinville, Wash., and Mary Ann Chandler of Seattle.
John Tonani Spokane
Memorial Mass for John J. “Johnny” Tonani, 87, will be 10 a.m. today at St. Aloysius Catholic Church. Private inurnment will follow. Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Tonani, a lifetime Spokane resident, died Monday.
He was a graduate of Gonzaga Prep and the University of Detroit.
Mr. Tonani worked for the Pioneer Educational Society, the Aluminum Company of America and Kaiser Trentwood, where he was a supervisor for 26 years before retiring.
He was a member of St. Aloysius Parish.
Survivors include his wife, Grace; a son, Ron Tonani of Los Angeles; a daughter, Sue Brown of Spokane; a brother, Charles Tonani of Spokane; and three grandchildren.

Harry Wilkes Medical Lake
Service for Harry W. Wilkes, 93, is set for 2 p.m today at St. John Lutheran Church in Medical Lake. Burial will follow at Spokane Memorial Gardens. Ball and Dodd Medical Lake Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Wilkes, who died Monday, was born in Medical Lake and graduated from Medical Lake High School.
He worked for nine years at Lakeland Village Commissary and then took over the family business, Wilkes Lumber Yard, in 1937. He retired in 1970.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge 102 and St. John Lutheran Church.
In 1987, he was named Medical Lake Volunteer of the Year. Mr. Wilkes also served eight years on the Medical Lake City Council.
Survivors include his wife of more than 68 years, Henrietta.

Irvin Conrath Spokane
Graveside service for Irvin E. Conrath, 85, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Pines Cemetery. Thornhill Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Conrath, who was born in Lind, Wash., died Monday.
He worked for Kaiser Aluminum in Trentwood for 30 years and retired in 1974 as a foreman.
He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church and the Theta Xi Fraternity, Omega Chapter.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Beatrice; a son, Clay Conrath; two daughters, Barbara Morgan and Judith Dale; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
William Eells Spokane
Memorial service for William F. Eells, 41, will be held in Riverton, Wyo., at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Eells, who was born in Aurora, Colo., died Saturday.
He moved to Spokane in 1985.
He was a self-employed landscaper and also worked as a cook at the Apple Barrel and International House of Pancakes for many years.
In 1992, he married Sharon Strong.
He is survived by his wife; his parents, William and Mildred Eells of Riverton; a brother, Paul Eells of Riverton; and two sisters, Charlette Rowle of Nevada and Joy Eells-Dewy.
Bertha Schell Moses Lake
Memorial service for Bertha Schell, 82, will be 2 p.m. Monday at the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Moses Lake. Private vault burial will follow at Ritzville (Wash.) Memorial Cemetery. Danekas Funeral Home in Ritzville is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Schell, who was born in Ruff, Wash., died Wednesday.
In 1937 she married Henry Schell. They farmed together near Ruff.
Her husband died in 1977.
Mrs. Schell moved to Moses Lake in 1995.
She is survived by a son, Jim Schell of Marlin, Wash.; a daughter, Vivian Hoffman of Moses Lake; two brothers, Harvey Bischoff of Ruff and Marvin Bischoff of Walla Walla; a sister, Helen Jones of Portland; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Geraldine Bauer Ritzville, Wash.
Visitation for Geraldine A. “Gerry” Bauer, 82, is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to noon Friday at Danekas Funeral Home in Ritzville. Vault burial will follow at 1 p.m. Friday at Ritzville Memorial Cemetery. Funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Bauer, who was born in Lind, Wash., died Sunday.
She graduated from Ritzville High School in 1933.
In 1936 she married Clarence “Nance” Bauer in Lind where they settled.
Mrs. Bauer worked for Emerson Drug Store and J.C. Penny in Ritzville and for the Ritzville Trading Co.
She returned to Ritzville in 1972 from Lind.
Her husband died in June.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, the Woman’s Business Club, Rebecca Lodge, and Philanthropic Educational Organization Chapter AR.
Mrs. Bauer was selected Beta Sigma Phi Lady of the Year in 1991.
She was a Girl Scout leader and was active with the American Red Cross and the American Cancer Society.
Survivors include a son, Michael Bauer of Ritzville; two daughters, Connie Cooper of Yakima and Pamela VanWinkle of Wenatchee; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Ronald Willford Keller, Wash.
Memorial service for Ronald K. Willford, 67, will be 1 p.m. Saturday at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Hall in Wilbur, Wash. Inurnment will follow at Wilbur Cemetery. Strate Funeral Home in Grand Coulee is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Willford, who was born in Wilbur, died Sunday.
He was a graduate of Wilbur High School.
Mr. Willford served in the Navy in submarines.
After the service, he owned bars in Coeur d’Alene and Spokane, worked at Lincoln Lumber and drove truck for S&P Meats in Spokane.
He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of Wilbur.
Mr. Willford is survived by a daughter, Sharon Barret of Salem, Ore.; a son, John Willford of Coulee Dam, Wash.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Juanita (Quiltanenock) Jackson Spokane
Service for Juanita Fay (Quiltanenock) Jackson, 49, will be at 10 a.m. today at the Kalispel Tribal Hall on the Kalispel Indian Reservation. Sherman-Knapp Funeral Home in Newport, Wash., is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Jackson, who died Sunday, was born in Newport.
Survivors include four sons, Lenny, Darren and Darrell Joseph, all of Elmo, Mont., and Billy Jackson of Nespelem, Wash.; two daughters, Yvonne and Kimberly Joseph, both of Elmo; a sister, Lavinia Nomee of Usk, Wash.; a half-sister, Brenda Polk of Yakima; and three grandchildren.
Robert Thompson Liberty Lake
No service will be held for Robert Lee Thompson, 78, at his request. Coeur d’Alene Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Thompson, who was born in Wisconsin, died Tuesday.
He moved to Spokane in 1925. As a boy, he lived with his parents during the summer at Silver Beach on Lake Coeur d’Alene.
Mr. Thompson later moved to Liberty Lake, where he was a longtime resident.
He was employed by Spokane County for several years. Later, he worked for Early Dawn Dairy, from which he retired.
He was a member of the Teamsters Union and the Moose Lodge. He also was a member of Avondale Country Club and was a former Liberty Lake men’s golf champion.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie; two daughters, Lori Muller and Rebecca Swift, both of Spokane; two brothers, Fred and Glenn Thompson, both of Spokane; and a granddaughter.

Kathleen (Fitzgerald) Newbury Spokane
Rosary for Kathleen Marie (Fitzgerald) Newbury, 64, will be at 7 p.m. Friday at St. Charles Catholic Church. Burial Mass is set for 10 a.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will follow at Fairmount Memorial Park. Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Newbury, who was born in Lemmon, S.D., died Monday.
She graduated from Jenkins High School in Chewelah, Wash., in 1951, and from Sacred Heart School of Nursing in 1954.
Mrs. Newbury worked as a scrub nurse at Sacred Heart Hospital, and at a doctor’s office for 18 years.
Later, she earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Fort Wright College then worked as a counselor at Deaconess School of Nursing.
After earning a master’s degree in education, she became dean of students at Fort Wright College.
Mrs. Newbury was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church, St. Pius Guild, American Legion Post 54 Auxiliary and was a founder of the Well Spouse Foundation.
She was a Spokane resident for 46 years.
Her husband, Don, died in 1993.
Survivors include three sons, John Newbury of Chewelah, Tom Newbury of Spokane and Michael Newbury of Denver; two brothers, Larry Fitzgerald of Colville and Richard Fitzgerald of Spokane; a sister, Karen Forney of Spokane; and four grandchildren.

Jayni (Omoto) Martin Spokane
Memorial service for Jayni J. (Omoto) Martin, 41, is planned for 7 p.m. today at Highland Park United Methodist Church. Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-South is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Spokane, Mrs. Martin died Monday.
She worked at Rosauers and Excell stores for 21 years.
Survivors include her husband of 14 years, Russ Martin; two daughters, Alexandra and Andrea Martin, both of Spokane; two sisters, Karen Toreson of Mukilteo, Wash., and Margene Omoto of Issaquah, Wash.; and a brother, Rich Omoto of Spokane.
