Audition Workshop Today

It’s audition season, and Spokane Civic Theatre is offering a free workshop today to help aspiring actors learn the skills necessary to present a successful audition.

A workshop for young people up to 15 years old will be from 10 a.m. to noon. Older would-be thespians will convene from 1 to 3 p.m.

Workshops will be led by Jack Phillips, Civic’s executive director, and actors H. James Brown, Jean Hardie and Kathie Doyle-Lipe.

The sessions in Civic’s Firth Chew Studio Theatre (in the basement) will focus on musical and non-musical tryouts. Musical auditioners should prepare a one-minute song; an accompanist will be provided.

Civic Theatre is at 1020 N. Howard.
