Semoran, trained by Bob Baffert and ridden by Kent Desormeaux, was the upset winner of the $500,000 Kentucky Cup Classic at Turfway Park.

Semoran, which went off the fourth choice, covered the 1-1/8 miles in 1:48 on a fast track.

Semoran paid $17.40, $6.80 and $3.60. Distorted Humor returned $3.20 and $2.40. Coup D’ Argent paid $2.60 to show.
