Antonio Martinez Hayden, Idaho
Service for Antonio Martinez, 75, will be held at a later date in Florida. Yates Funeral Home in Coeur d’Alene is in charge of local arrangements.
Mr. Martinez, who was born in Havana, Cuba, died Thursday.
He was raised and educated in Cuba, receiving a master’s degree from the University of Havana.,
Mr. Martinez moved to Miami in 1961 and worked as an electrical contractor. He retired and moved to Hayden in 1994.
He was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Giserda; a son, Ciro Martinez of Athol, Idaho; a brother, Robert Martinez of Miami; two sisters, Elvire Rinera and Delia Coya, both of Miami; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Bernadine ‘Bernie’ Gordon Sandpoint
Rosary for Bernadine “Bernie” Gordon, 71, will be at 7 p.m. held Sunday at Coffelt’s Chapel in Sandpoint. Burial Mass is set for 11 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Sandpoint. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Sandpoint.
Mr. Gordon, who was born in Sandpoint, died Wednesday.
She grew up and graduated from Sandpoint High School in 1945 and worked for Sandpoint Laundry and Cleaners.
Mrs. Gordon also was a cook at Traveler’s Restaurant, and The Edgewater and Beach House Restaurants, all in Sandpoint.
She retired in 1984 due to health reasons.
Mrs. Gordon was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband, Ted; three children, Nels Gordon of Priest Lake, Idaho, and Denis Gordon and Cyndi Smith, both of Sandpoint; three sisters, Geri Ley of Wyoming, Eileen Phom of Coeur d’Alene and Corky Beck of Opportunity; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Sandpoint.
