Sex Offender Strikes Out Under State Statute

From Staff And Wire Reports

A three-time sex offender is headed to prison for the rest of his life after being sentenced under Washington’s “Three Strikes, You’re Out” law.

Judge Kenneth Kato sentenced Spokane resident Floyd A. Lauzon, 47, to life in prison without possibility of parole Wednesday.

On Aug. 22, a Superior Court jury convicted Lauzon of first-degree child rape, first-degree child molestation and indecent liberties.

Prosecutors said he raped a 7-year-old girl, molested a 6-year-old girl and exposed himself to two other children, ages 9 and 13, last summer.

Lauzon, who worked as an upholsterer, had two prior felony sex crime convictions.
