The committee will get an update on the Lincoln Street bridge and the downtown housing study.

Spokane City Council

Monday, 3:30 p.m. council briefing, lower-level conference room

During the briefing, the council will consider increasing by $10,000 a $70,000 Coopers and Lybrand feasibility study of River Park Square. During the regular meeting, the council will consider reinstating the voluntary severance program.

Spokane County commissioners

2 p.m. meeting for nonhearing items, public works building, 1026 W. Broadway

5 p.m. weekly hearings, public works building

Among other business, commissioners will consider whether to let a West Plains farmer subdivide 40 acres into four lots.

Spokane County Hearing Examiner

Wednesday, 9 a.m., public works building, 1026 W. Broadway

Hearing examiner Mike Dempsey at 9 a.m. will consider a request to allow construction of ministorage units at 15007 E. Trent, on land not now zoned for that purpose. At 10:30 a.m., Dempsey will consider a request to build a garage closer to Liberty Drive than the county’s zoning code allows. Dempsey at 1:30 p.m. will consider another request to build ministorage units, at 17717 E. Appleway.

Spokane City Plan Commission

Wednesday, noon, regular meeting, second-floor planning room

City Hall, 808 W. Spokane Falls

The commission will meet with representatives from the neighborhood councils about how to increase communications between the two groups. The commission also will hear an update from Spokane Horizons members about their program toward the comprehensive land-use plan.

Spokane Design Review Committee

The committee will review signage for Quizno’s Deli at 124 N. Wall St. and review the site plan for Brew’s Bros. Expresso drive-through, 101 W. Francis Ave.

Spokane County Planning Commission

Thursday, 1 p.m., public works building

Among other things, the commission will consider a proposal to allow mobile homes for dependent relatives on the same lots as houses in most suburban neighborhoods.

Spokane City Council

Thursday, 2:30 p.m. study session, lower-level conference room

City Hall, 808 W. Spokane Falls

The council will meet with the citizens advisory committee about the Lincoln Street bridge project.

Spokane Community Assembly

The assembly’s agenda topics include the manufactured housing and urban forestry ordinances.
