Compiled From Wire Services

Pushing each other, Nancy Harvey and Liselotte Neumann made birdies on the 18th hole and shared a four-stroke lead at 10-under 206 after three rounds of the LPGA Welch’s Championship at Canton, Mass.

Neumann shot a 3-under 69 and Harvey a 71 as they played together. At 210 are Karrie Webb, Rachel Hetherington and Sherri Steinhauer.

Larry Nelson is making some noise in just his second event on the Senior PGA Tour. He shot a 7-under 65 for a one-stroke lead in the Comfort Classic at Indianapolis.

David Graham missed a 5-foot birdie putt on No. 18 to finish with a 69, leaving him tied for second with Raymond Floyd and Bud Allin.

Between puffs of his cigarettes, Tim “Lumpy” Herron lived up to his reputation as one of the best third-round players on the PGA Tour with an eagle, seven birdies and a bogey in shooting a course-record-tying 64 to take the third-round lead at the LaCantera Texas Open in San Antonio. He’s at 14-under 202.

Rick Fehr is second at 203 off a 66.
