Man Assaulted Near Store

A 47-year-old man was knocked to the ground and struck in the back by five teenagers late Friday on the 1400 block of North Ash, police said.

The victim had just purchased a bottle of wine from a nearby 7-Eleven when he was attacked around 11 p.m., said police spokesman Dick Cottam.

The man was not injured. Police did not find the suspects. , DataTimes
