Rash Of Anti-Semitism Plagues German City
For the second time in a week, Nazi swastikas and anti-Semitic slogans have been discovered in this northern German city.
Two white swastikas and slogans such as “Jews out” were discovered on a high school, police said Monday.
Slogans against Lutheran pastor Guenter Harig also were found, police said. Harig has been sheltering an Algerian refugee family in his church and has been the target of previous threats.
Five days ago, similar slogans were sprayed near the St. Vicelin Roman Catholic Church, which was destroyed in a May arson attack. A 19-year-old suspect with no known neo-Nazi ties was arrested later.
Other similar incidents have occurred in the Luebeck area in recent months.
