Gu Appoints Leader For Planned Giving
Christine Schnug, has been appointed as chairwoman of Gonzaga University’s Spokane Planned Giving Committee.
Schnug earned an undergraduate degree and a master’s degree from GU.
Those joining the committee this year are businessmen William Child, William Eden, Paul Fitzpatrick, Jim O’Connell, Donald “Kit” Querna, Dale Sebo, and Jerry Wagner.
Army Spec. David W. Wyant graduated from the U.S. Army Primary Leadership Development Course at Fort Drum, Waterton, N.Y., where he is stationed as a light-wheel mechanic. He is a 1989 graduate of Lewis and Clark High School, and son of Bernard L. Wyant and Kathy M. Wyant, both of Spokane.
Colleges and universities across the nation bestowed degrees on several Spokane students this spring. The latest we have heard from are:
Andrae Schoessler, daughter of Ray Schoessler, graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of arts in education and history from York College, York, Neb.
Scott Ayers, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ayers, graduated from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Va.. He majored in economics and history.
Amy LaMae Lingohr graduated with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Concordia University in Portland.
Andrea Curry and Sean Brady received bachelor of arts degrees from The University of Portland (Ore.) John McMurtery graduated with a degree in music from Central Washington University in Ellensburg. He will continue his education at Rutgers University.
Katrina A. Glass, a 1989 graduate of Ferris High School, has been promoted to captain in the U.S. Army and is in the engineering corps at Fort Leavenworth, Kan. The daughter of Steve and Mary Glass, Richland, is also a 1993 graduate of Eastern Washington University.
Maliaka Schneider, a sophomore at Rogers High School, was chosen as a state finalist in the Miss Washington American Teen Pageant.
Maliaka, Rogers’ freshman class president, is a 4.0 student, a member of Young Life and was a People to People Student Ambassador in Australia this summer.
