A new two-handed rod casting tournament will join the fly tying contest as featured attractions at the 11th annual Kelly Creek Flycasters Fly Fair Oct. 4.

Events, which will be held at the Quality Inn in Clarkston, Wash., begin at 9 a.m. along with a trade show.

Among the scheduled activities are fly tying demonstrations featuring Alec Jackson. Fly casting clinics will include spey casting demonstrations by Jim and Carol Green and Al Buhr.

Evening events include a buffet banquet and slide show by Oregon author-photographer Brian O’Keefe.

The casting contest events include spey casting and overhead casting, with a chance to win prizes.

The fly tying contest has wet and dry categories for trout and steelhead plus an open category. Entries must be submitted at the fair before noon.
