Youths representing Settlement Houses across New York City went to NikeTown Saturday, but not to ogle the high-priced, high-fashion gear. The youths instead protested Nike labor practices by dumping their shoes outside the store and calling on the company to engage in fair labor practices overseas, lower the price of sneakers and to re-invest in the inner cities of America.
