Pair Hurt When Pickup Crashes, Catches Fire

Two Colville, Wash., men were injured - one critically - after the driver lost control on a curve on state Highway 25 near Kettle Falls, Wash., and the pickup went over an embankment and smashed into a fence.

Passenger Donald R. Thuillard, 50, was upgraded to serious condition at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane late Sunday. He suffered multiple internal injuries after being thrown from the 1983 Ford pickup, the Washington State Patrol said.

The driver, 19-year-old Jacob R. Prater, suffered only bumps and bruises.

The accident occurred about 1:30 p.m. Saturday. The pickup caught fire and was destroyed. , DataTimes
