Drama planned in Pullman
Living Faith Fellowship in Pullman will present its original musical drama, “The Way, The Truth, The Life,” during Holy Week.
The story takes place after the resurrection and relates the trials and triumphs of the characters, said Dan Akins, director. The production also tells of Saul of Tarsus, who was dramatically converted to Christianity and assumed the name of Paul and wrote much of the Bible’s New Testament.
The script, music and lyrics were written and orchestrated by church members who have created Easter dramatizations the past eight years.
Performances at the church, 1035 S. Grand Blvd., will be at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. A special performance will be at 10:30 a.m. Easter Sunday.
Concert in Metaline Falls
“Deeply Fixed Thorns,” a concert of Passion music by Donivan Johnson, will be staged at 8 p.m. Friday at the Cutter Theatre in Metaline Falls, Wash.
The performance includes a variety of vocal and instrumental music relating to the Passion.
Featured performers include the Rev. Paul Clay, vocalist and narrator; Wynne Scherf, vocalist; and Quint Essence, a student ensemble from Selkirk High School in Ione, Wash.
St. Luke’s to dedicate cross
St. Luke Lutheran Church, 9704 N. Division, will dedicate its new 23-foot-high cross during a ceremony and worship service at 5:30 p.m. Friday.
The polished aluminum cross was designed and created by Nathan Stime, a church member.
The Rev. Mike Wiser hopes the towering cross, visible to some 70,000 cars that pass by the church each day, will become a community landmark.
